The concept of Thrive4Life originated in 1998 when the company founder, Janice Kaye, recognised a gap in the corporate wellbeing market. She is a trained osteopath and naturopath with experience in private practice and industry. With the aim of pioneering a holistic approach to managing musculoskeletal injuries at work, Janice established her first business, Osteopaths for Industry (OFI), in 1987. Her interventions helped improve the profitability and productivity of some of the UK’s most recognisable industrial and white-collar organisations, including the BBC, DHL, the NHS, and even Buckingham Palace.
About us
Working with a wide range of businesses, Janice gained unique insight into the cost to UK industry of poor musculoskeletal health. She also began noticing the increasing prevalence of poor mental health in the workplace, observing its detrimental effects on employee productivity and links to problems such as absenteeism and presenteeism. So began the quest to build a more integrative approach to corporate wellbeing addressing both the importance of physical or musculoskeletal and mental health in the workplace – a quest for which Thrive4Life was to provide the solution!
Thrive4Life has come a long way since its initial founding. In 2015, the founder opened Thrive4Life’s flagship Lloyd’s Wellbeing Centre in the City of London. This centre provides treatments such as physiotherapy, chiropody and nutritional services to customers. Thrive4Life has more recently extended its services to include Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification, training of Line Managers and Wellbeing Champions, staff awareness, and bespoke consultancy. As businesses have transitioned to remote and hybrid working, Thrive4Life has responded with new online products such as the Online Display Screen Assessment (DSE) Workstation Assessment Tool, which helps employers to continue meeting their legal duty of care to employees. With the world changing rapidly, we want to be at the forefront of bringing businesses innovative solutions that can empower their employees to thrive!
