Unlocking Period Health with Dr Varsha Jain

A fascinating live webinar by ‘space gynaecologist’ Dr Varsha Jain. Varsha will talk about what are ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ periods, and explain in more detail about when heavy periods are caused by fibroids or adenomyosis. She’ll be talking through several aspects of period health, including:

  • what you can do when you think you have abnormal periods
  • what you can expect to happen with the doctor when you tell them you have heavy periods.

Your speaker:

Dr Varsha Jain is a medical doctor training in obstetrics and gynaecology who has a passion for researching women’s health. She is currently funded by Wellbeing of Women and is near to completing a clinical research training fellowship where she is investigating why women have heavy periods. She has previously also worked in the field of space medicine where she researched female astronaut health in space.

Talk duration:

40 minutes, plus time for questions and answers.
